I've implemented these polls for the PA forum, but now that they're up and running, I've also added them as a regular AP feature. Please vote in the Aoty 2023 poll, as well as the others! Even when you've already rated your favorite releases, these polls are a cool and slightly different way to show others which releases really impressed you. Also do one of these for 2022 and 2021 ans 2020 :)

As well as the 2020s decade in total

Yes, I'll shortly open it up to include other years, decades or other interesting time intervals.

Small improvement: In the user lists the user's tag assignments are shown instead of the overall result (if the user has rated and tagged the release).

I 've checked it a bit, some great statistic features embedded it seems. What about the filter 'only releases I interacted with', does it mean rated? or having assigned any tag at all, or even listened once? the filter 'all releases' lists all AP album entries for the specified period?

I suspect some inconsistency though, for example can't find the HMLTD entry by using filter 'only releases I interacted with' for 2023. Rating is 9.0, should be listed on the very top.

Also, don't see any deadline or other limitations defined. I'm still listening to 2023 stuff that might comprise ranking candidates. Open end would be recommended.

Yes, exactly.
It currently means rated/tagged or status/familiarity assigned.
Curious, that works for me. When you select that filter, all the releases you interacted with should be listed, with the highest ratest first. Does it work for some of the releases for you?
Yes, that is intentional. There will not be an official deadline, but the system keeps track of the changes. Eventually the results will be shown accordingly, so you can go back and see how the charts evolve over time.

Another improvement: The user lists now also contain your blurbs for the releases. Together with your ratings and genres this really makes your lists your own and sets them apart from those of other users.

okay, other albums will be provided with filter 'only releases I interacted with'. But I've found a second one with 9.0 rating that is not listed https://awesomeprog.com/releases/64697 I've rated so much items, have to rely on correct results. Just added a blurb to the HMLTD album page to see if results are changing ... obviously not. Will send screenshots directly to your mail address. Not sure how resp. if we are allowed to embed images here. You possibly may provide a steady link for the user manual.

^ Fixed! You were right, turns out that there was a filter setting which I built for the PA mode of the polls by which you can narrow down the releases to only those available on PA was active in the AP polls. I disabled that, so now all releases should be displayed. Sorry for this, and thanks for your efforts to explain the problem to me.

great! this has doubled the releases I've interacted with, wow!

Yes, 2023 has about 900 releases on PA, but there are almost 3k releases here. Many of which are non-prog, but many others are undoubtedly prog. To be added to PA at some point ...

BTW: As a sneak preview, you can also do the poll on previous years. Will add it to the navigation eventually, but you can already choose any year you want by changing the year in the url: https://awesomeprog.com/release-polls/ap/aoty-1975 |
