My apologies, I had completely forgotten that the D-tier had been renamed from "Decent" to "Ok" about a month ago. I should use my website more regularly ;-)

Today I also renamed tiers E and F. This is what we have now:

  • S: Supreme
  • A: Awesome
  • B: Great
  • C: Good
  • D: Ok
  • E: Poor (from Mediocre)
  • F: Awful (from Bad)

What does everybody think? Let me know if with this change you would like to have your ratings adjusted (e.g. move stuff between tiers).

Regarding the C-tier: Will probably modify the description. To me this lies right at the boundary between "good" and "not good". A C-tier release, while labeled as "good", is not great. It is a polite way of saying that you do not like/enjoy it enough for it to make it into your inner circle of favorite releases. In a way, C-tier releases are already part of the "bad" range in the sense that you will rarely listen to them. But you would not openly call them "bad", doing so would seem unfair with regard to the musicians involved.

So in practice, the C-tier acts like a buffer between your favorite music (S/A/B) and bad/mediocre stuff (F/E/D).
