There was a major problem with the backend server today, a network switch crashed and we had 7 hours of downtime. On the bright side, no data was lost :-) Unfortunately I made matters worse because I tried to restart the server while the cloud provider was trying to fix the faulty switch. This resulted in the virtual server software getting stuck while restarting the server, which took a few hours more to resolve.

Glad to see you got there in the end!

There was another hour of downtime just now, and there'll be one more later today. Unfortunately server restart actions are queued up, and there is no way for me to cancel them. A very unusual problem. But after that next downtime we should be good, no more commands in the pipeline.

Nothing can run 24/7! :-)

^ Actually during the last couple of months AP had an uptime of 100% for long stretches. :-)

Commendable, of course!

Had another 7 hours of downtime a few days ago, of course it happened while I was on vacation. But that was it, no more foreseeable downtimes because of virtual server restarts ... |
