example: The Foundation - Relations https://awesomeprog.com/releases/78806 I can see three timeline entries with 7.7 plus tags entries coming from rymBot 8.0, paBot 8.0, mbzr48 8.8 why does it end into the result 8.8?

There are four ratings for the release:
Rather than calculating an average or mean value, the system sees these ratings as votes, like in an election. First it determines the "winner" tag group (bad, medium, good). In this case, the winner is the top tag group, which contains tiers A and S. Within this group it again determines a winning tier, which in this case is A (all the votes are in A). Then it determines the winning tier subgroup (low/minus, middle, high/plus), which in this case is high/plus because of mbzr48s vote. It is a "drill-down" voting approach. For example, if an additional user were to vote in the "middle range" (tiers D, C, and B) then the result would become a B-tier rating.

Rating Distribution is now shown on the release page. This makes the situation a little more transparent. By and large, you'll see that the strongest signal (tier) wins.

okay, after some time I can see some informative values within the distribution columns ... looks like mbzr48 ratings have overdriven mine, it still looks weird anyhow
