"Before checking out this EP, you have to just sit down and review your life situation at the moment. Do you feel depressed? Do you perchance feel a bit suicidal? If you do, you must stay away from this review, because it is certain to throw you into a deep depression from which the only escape is death.
Okay, I'm exaggerating a bit, but the three tracks on this release truly are dark and oppressive. They are slow and droning with guitar figures being repeated excessively (this is of course one of the main points of the black metal ethos) accompanied by heavy doom-ladden drumbeats and dark atmospheric synth effects.
The vocals are processed and have an oozing, slimy texture and serve almost more as an instrument that contributes to the overall dark and bleak atmosphere than vocals in the traditional sense.
If you like dark soundscapes and bleak, droning and depressive music, then you should check out this release.
