"Here's some power metal for ya. Go ahead and dig in - there's not a lot of cheese here. The things that make power metal great are there, such as the guitar melodies and the epically catchy vocal lines, but the production is darker and the riffage is heavier than what is typical of epic power metal. Vocalist Tom Schluchter has a very powerful and raw voice which suits the music quite well. Tracks like "From the Beginning" and "Another Innocent Victim" are in the heavy department, while other tracks like "My Prophecy" and "Remember the Faces" are quite uptempo and reminiscent of melodeath at times. Other tracks like "Invisible Chains", "The Legacy" and "Foggy Dew" (a popular Celtic folk ballad title) draw more on Celtic folk music both in terms of melody and instrumentation. This album has received a number of good reviews since it came out, and I understand why. Recommended to fans of power metal. (review originally posted on metalmusicarchives.com)"
