Innovative Non-Prog Power Metal

"I really like this album. It's power metal, to be sure, but I think it contains a lot of elements from different metal genres - and I think there are a couple of proggish elements here and there (but not enough to even make it a prog-related album, in my opinion). The opening track, for instance, mixes an almost Motley Crue or Guns n' Roses, like main riff with a more traditional German power metal choris and adds a sort of Arabian feel to it all. The last track is melodic, but makes use of some alternative chords (in relation to the typical fifth-power chords). There is something interesting in virtually every song on this album, which certainly makes it worthwhile to me."
