Decent Lethargic Slow Non-Prog Stoner Doom/Sludge (first listen)"Pretty standard Sabbath-esque stoner doom, with some atmosludge and drone. Probably won't listen to it again but served me okay this one time. Brilliant lyricist... I'll paste the masterful lyrics from one of the songs: ahem "Bongs bongs bongs. Reptile dysfunction." Clearly the voice of a generation."

"The problem isn't that this album is bad, because it's not; it's that it's an amalgamation of the 80s with nothing notable whatsoever about it. Production is actually quite good compared to Camera Camera."

Decent Quirky Prog New Wave (several listens)"I can't help but crack up at the synths at the end of Remember; they're so unexpectedly dissonant and disharmonious. This is natural progression from Azure D'or and is very hard for me to rate as it is inconsistent."

"Incredible piece of prog history! Binky's voice did not fit the music as well as Jane's, but she was super charismatic. The video component is amazing!"

Mediocre Tech Prog Power Metal (several listens)"Could have been one Symphony X's best albums, but the Bogren production literally ruined the whole thing. There is no breathing room here at all, and it's disorienting listening to it. Seriously, turn the damn volume on the master down."
Great Introspective Symph Prog Rock/Folk (listened often)

"The dark and somber B-side is the band's best work, imo. The A-side isn't as strong, but is still good. Something about the recording quality feels wrong, too, as it sounds maybe ten years older than it is (maybe they were using older recording tapes?). Scheherazade is a definite refinement of this."

Decent Melodic Prog Pop (several listens)"It's not bad, it's really not. It's just... largely forgettable, and way too melodic. The muddy-ish production does make it hard to enjoy, but the band still do some cool things. Some nice/pleasant songs, like Kalynda and Discovery. But Only Angels Have Wings is downright horrible, excruciatingly so."

Good Symph Prog Rock/Pop (several listens)"Inconsistent. Starts and ends quite strong, but the stuff in between is not so good; also there are too many ballads. The melodic-nature of the album was toned down this time, which is an improvement from Novella, though it is a bit too AOR/Prog Pop for my full enjoyment. Electric guitar welcomed."

Good Acoustic Prog Rock (several listens)"On my third or fourth listen it really clicked more with me. The album can be overbearingly melodic at times. but the production here is great!"
