"From the opening seconds, this album will have you entranced. If you play it to a friend, get them to guess the year it was released - they'll never believe you.

Because this is one of the greatest and most forward-thinking albums ever recorded. Type "White Noise An Electric Storm" into Google, and witness the glowing reviews that show up. The words and phrases "Groundbreaking", "Holy Grail", "(will) Tear your brain apart", "(uses) sounds that have never been heard by human ear", will jump out at you.

For this is an album that will change your life and the way you hear music forever - as "Mrs Ahab" said; "Careful with those stimulants, guys!". Check out that amazing and technically detailled review here; http://www.headheritage.co.uk/unsung/review/1143

On to the music:

"Love Without Sound", the opening track, is simply one of the best pieces of music ever recorded, and I don't want to give any spoilers at all here - just listen in awe, as I did the first time.

"My Game of Loving" may need a little time and patience, as it suddenly reminds you of the year in which it was produced, with Beach-Boys style harmonies and happy instrumentation. But it's also a gem - and, without intending to resort to schlock, somewhat orgasmic.

"Here Come the Fleas" is in a Zappa humour frame of mind - so much so that the (in)famous DJ Kenny Everett used samples of it in montages. I like the bit where the man asks for the music to be turned down.

"Firebird" and "Your Hidden Dreams" are somewhat less remarkable after the sheer impact of the first three tracks, but the close harmony singing and wonderful melody lines of "Firebird" make it an incredibly strong song in its own right. "Your Hidden Dreams" is an introduction to the darker mood of side 2 - which is a hell of a trip, so, in full agreement with Mrs Ahab, I order you to put your headphones on for this one, and keep them on for the remaining two tracks.

The trouble is that Mrs Ahab gives such a great account of the music that follows and the technical background, that I can only agree with it, and not really add anything. If you're not Mr Spock, it really will scare the living bejasus out of you.

So what are you waiting for?

Help the price of my first press go through the roof and buy a copy of this, one of the most significant, progressive and plain wierd albums of all time, right now - and thank me later!"
