"I was kind of sad when I learned that Rob Moratti had left Saga after only one album, because I really liked his contribution on "The Human Condition". However, all hope was not lost, as Moratti went on to release a solid solo effort in the form of "Victory". While "The Human Condition" was a progressive affair, "Victory" is a more straightforward melodic AOR effort which emphasizes memorable and catchy vocal lines and is full of references to 80s hard rock, fortunately taking only the good stuff and leaving the cheese behind. All the tracks on the album are strong, regardless of whether they are more rock, hard rock or pop inclined. This partly owes to incredible musicianship and pristine production across the board, and partly to Rob Moratti's distinct voice and and range as a vocalist. Guitar fans can look forward to incredible blazing guitar solos, and the emphasis on melody makes the album broadly available and potentially a record that your entire family can rock out to together. "Victory" is recommended to fans of 80s AOR, hard rock and even melodic metal."
