Timeline
"Black Midi were a band I took some enjoyment from, a rare thing when music gets quite Avant-Garde. Their frontman's solo debut is similar in style, but more jittery, with influences from around the world, and obvious links to Frank Zappa too. Lyrically its a bit blunt and doesn't work for me." "Probably it's the new sound of the century, at least a very entertaining and adventurous experience, a lot to discover, no question, artistically gifted, let's say - just trying to end with something more concrete - this somehow sounds like a zappaesque version of the band Danny Wilson."
