"Frankly I have never heard an album like this... perhaps the latest 3rd And The Mortal would be the closest thing I could think of if I would try to make a (vague) comparison. Lots of experimental stuff on this almost quasi instrumental album (vocals can be heard only on tracks 2 and 9, some other tracks having some spoken parts). Very dark, with an electronic/trip hop dominant sound... great to listen at night."
"A magnificent album... Released between two extreme black metal albums, this one is pure acoustic and almost all instrumental. Great guitar work, clean vocals (the album is entirely sung in Norwegian), folkish tunes... Sadness and melancholy prevail on this album, except for short joyful moments, like on "Halling"."
"OMG does the production suck. This is really old school Black Metal, with highpitched, t(h)in guitars, almost no bass and blast beats. The songs feature short atmospheric intros and outros which show the potential of the band ... but in total this album is not really recommendable to anyone but die-hard fans of the band, or of old-school Black Metal."
