"Weird for the sake of being weird is what I'm hearing, unfortunately. The music is also quite repetitive, often phrases are repeated four times without changing anything, making some some songs sound like a concatenation of riffs. Add to that the simplistic songwriting and lack of vocals (which would have offered another way to keep the listener's interest up), and you get a fairly average record."
"This was a rough listen. All of the musicians involved audibly lack confidence in their playing, and the compositions are mostly dull and predictable. Add to that the suboptimal production, and the result is not pleasant. Only a few days ago I listened to the newly releases Zappa album "Funky Nothingness". THAT's how you do improv avant-garde rock."
