"Aphelion is a transitional album, not as good as the first Edenbridge, but an improvement over the second one. The base is still very power metal but the progressive influences are back more often, specially on songs like The Undiscovered Land the last track, the epic Red Ball In Blue Sky, that features ex Royal Hunt vocalist D C Cooper in a duet with Sabine Edelsbacher. Overall a very good prog metal CD with great female vocals."

"Edenbridge´s first concept album turned out to be a bit of a disapointment. Specially if you remember it comes after Shine, one of their very best CDs. It is lacking inspiration most of the time. The songs are pleasant, but not much more than that. the first song is very good and so are the title track is one of their most progressive effords. Better luck next time, guys. I know you can do it."
