"Silverdollar, or rather $ilverdollar - to be precise, have their feet solidly planted in classic metal. On on this release, they show that there still are artists who can make awesome good old heavy metal without sounding unoriginal.

"Morte" is a multi-pronged attack of classic metal riffs, twin guitars, impressive guitar solos, catchy choruses and all that wonderful stuff, which characterizes classic metal. But, despite the presence of general 80s metal upliftingness, Silverdollar's brand of classic metal comes of a bit darker at times than a lot of traditional metal does, which is reflected in tracks like "CO2", "Damage Done", "Eternal Glory" and "Morte" - and there are also elements from speed metal and power metal present on this album, as in "H.F." and "Rot". There is also an almost symphonic feel to some of the tracks due to the use of keyboards, which I think works quite well here.

We are dealing with a high level of musicianship, and the Silverdollar are obviously very skilled songsmiths who can write melodic and catchy music which draws on all the conventional elements of traditional metal without sounding unoriginal, and - most important of all, Silverdollar never stray from the the rock roots of true metal.

Recommended to any fan of traditional heavy metal!
