Supreme Creative Prog Avant Metal

"Transcending Bizarre? are normally described as a black metal band, but I have a hard time placing this album in any one metal genre. There are a lot of black metal elements on this album, but also a lot of death metal elements as well as power metal, thrash metal and traditional metal elements. This is approached in an progressive and avant-garde perspective, and the music is accompanied by symphonic elements, female vocals, theatrical vocal styles, eerie keyboards and eerie keyboards.

I think that this album will appeal to fans of avant-garde metal and symphonic metal along the lines of Dimmu Borgir's more recent efforts. But fans of raw black metal and other types of in-yer-face extreme metal are not likely to appreciate this album.

But, for dark avant-garde metal, I think it is very good.
